About the Role:
Texas Vital Orthopedic & Spine Corp in Irving, Texas is looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Patient Coordinator to be the welcoming face of our practice. In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering an exceptional patient experience from the moment they walk through our doors. Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner at the front desk
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays and patient payments
- Maintain and update accurate patient demographic and medical records
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, responding to patient inquiries promptly
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance carriers as needed
- Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and welcoming
Requirements:
- 1+ years of front desk or patient coordinator experience in a medical or orthopedic setting preferred
- Bilingual English and Spanish for Irving is a plus.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and general computer skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume clinical environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical administrative certification a plus
